I am Summer Joy, a Certified INNATE Postpartum Practitioner, an Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher YAT300 (RYT200), and a mother and wife - serving the Greater Denver Area in-person and virtually. Inspired by my own dark night postpartum, I am deeply passionate about supporting mothers as center in the postpartum continuum. I believe in the innate wisdom of the body to heal when nourished with the proper community, herbs, foods, thoughts, environments, and therapies. My goal is to guide you and your family to heal whatever needs tending in your lives right now. YOU have the capacity to heal yourself, my job is to help awaken that innate power.
I believe in helping aid in the removal of what is not serving a person to guide them to vitality and health. I envision a future where all mothers are highly supported and seen for their tremendously priceless, often invisible, work!
I offer personalized postpartum support tailored to your families specific needs. If you are an expectant mother, please learn more about my upcoming INNATE Planning for the Fourth Trimester Course.
My intention is to support you and your family in making informed decisions to plan for a thriving postpartum continuum. Birth is, relatively, the easy part! The postpartum is a marathon.

Education and Background
CERTIFIED INNATE POSTPARTUM PRACTITIONER
INNATE Postpartum Care - Certification Training, January 2020
I trained with Rachelle Garcia Seliga, CPM in her INNATE Postpartum Care - Certification Training Course. The training focus is: 'A holistic approach to postpartum physiology and psychology for birth and healthcare professionals worldwide. Offering essential understandings into the necessary requirements for healthy mothers and families – and thus the necessary requirements in the creation of a thriving human culture.'
YOGA AWARENESS YOGA TEACHER YAT300 (RYT 200)
I trained on Maui, HI under Tedd Surman owner of Yoga Awareness. Tedd shared with me his first hand wisdom, acquired from his teachers in India since 2001. I earned a comprehensive understanding of Raja Yoga and the teachings of Patanjali (mid 2nd century BCE), as taught through the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar lineage, as well as the Ayurvedic teachings he learned from his teachers: Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hydryam. I solidified my yoga and meditation practice, and love singing the ancient healing chants.

GRADUATE STUDENT CSTCM
Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2014
My studies of the Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at CSTCM began in 2014. In the first year of the program, I learned TCM’s fundamental theories: TCM concepts of health, energy, and the etiology of diseases. I took the course in Acupuncture Meridian and Point Theory and learned the basics of the meridian channels and point locations. My time on the TCM path, informs my supportive healing offerings to bolster mothers to health and vibrancy.
